How Long Does It Take To Detail Your Car?

Almost every time we talk to a customer before they get their car detailed, there is one specific question they ask. “How long do you think it will take"?” As we always love to address your questions on our site, here is an in-depth article about how long it will take to detail your vehicle.

The Factors:

Just like prices, the three factors that affect the amount of time it takes to detail your vehicle are the package, condition, and size of the vehicle.

Package:

The package you choose has a big effect on the time it takes to detail your vehicle. For example, if you choose our Wash And Wax over our Premium Wash, the Wash And Wax will take much more time to complete.

This is because different packages have different processes and steps that we have to take to complete the details. While we have to Wash And Dry the vehicle for both packages, we also have to apply wax on the car, clay the vehicle, do iron decon, and more to complete the wash and wax. This contributes to a larger amount of time spent cleaning the car.

Condition:

The second factor for the amount of time it takes to detail your vehicle is condition. Condition is a big factor in the amount of time it takes to detail your vehicle, for this example. Let’s say there are two customers Joe and Mary. Joe and Mary both have a 2022 Acura MDX. Joe is a construction Worker and has two dogs. Now being a construction worker, his car often gets filled with dirt and mud, and having two dogs, he has his fair share of pet hair. Mary vacuums her car regularly she works as a receptionist and just has light dirt and grime on her vehicle.

Joe and Mary both select our Interior Shampoo And Reset Detail. With the background info provided, can you guess which customer will take more time to detail? If you said Joe, you would be correct. With heavily soiled carpets and dog hair, Joe’s vehicle would take more time to detail.

Size:

Our third and final factor of the time it takes to detail your vehicle is size. The smaller the vehicle, the less there is to clean, the less time it will take to detail, the larger the vehicle, the more to clean, the more time it will take to detail the vehicle.

Knowing the three factors for the time of the cleaning, you may be able to form a rough estimate of how long your vehicle will take to be detailed. At each of our service pages, such as our Mini-Interior Detail, at the bottom, there is a section called FAQ’S (Frequently Asked Questions). One of these questions is how long will my detail take. To answer that we put a range of the time it could take to detail your vehicle, using the knowledge you have learned in this guide, you can now guestimate the amount of time it will take to have your car detailed.
