How Much Does It Cost To Get Your Car Detailed?

We often get asked how much it will cost to get your car detailed. And well, the short answer is “it depends”. There are several factors that go into the price of your detail, including, size, condition, and the package you choose! Below we will explain why we charge more for some details and less for others!

The First Factor | Size

This is one of the most obvious factors when it comes to price in car detailing. The bigger the vehicle, the more time it takes to clean, the smaller the vehicle, the less. We will charge more money on a vehicle that takes longer to detail.

The Second Factor | Condition

The second factor is the condition. Dirty cars take longer to clean and we may have to use more tools and products to get the job done correctly. For example, Jim and Mary both have a Lincoln Navigator. Jim has two dogs and a three-year-old son. As you can imagine Jim’s car may have pet hair and goldfish dust all in the carpets. When we vacuum the carpets it will take more time and we will have to use special equipment, such as a pet hair tool. Mary’s car however is a bit more well-kept than Jim’s. She uses her household vacuum and gets surface-level dirt out of the carpet. She just needs a professional to work on all the plastics and the dirt in the carpets she could not get. This will take us less time so we will charge more for Jim than we did for Mary.

Third Factor | Package

The package you choose has a big impact on the price. Let’s go back to Jim and Mary. As mentioned earlier Jim and Mary both have a Lincoln Navigator. Jim chooses our Premium Wash and Interior Shampoo And Reset Detail. His total comes out to $320. Mary chooses our Wash And Wax and Mini-Interior Detail. Mary’s total comes out to $350.

Why You Should Choose Professional Detailing Services

Another question I get asked often is “That is pretty expensive, can I do that myself?!” the answer to that is yes, but you will not achieve professional results and may actually damage your car by “detailing” it. Common mistakes people make when washing or detailing their car are, Using a sponge, not drying the car, using terry clothes instead of microfibers, using dish soap, and breathing on it wrong. No, I am just kidding about the last one but all the others are true and should be taken to heart. If you have any questions about how to clean your vehicle correctly, please comment your question on this blog post and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Why You Should NEVER Take Your Car Through A Car Wash

Many people go through the car wash thinking they are maintaining their vehicle. But little do they know, they are scratching the paint and damaging the clear coat (The outermost layer that protects your paint). All car washes use brushes that are almost never cleaned. These brushes will scrub your paint in circular motions Rubbing dirt and debris against your paint in the process. This is what creates the signature swirl mark that detailers and car owners around the world despise. They also use very Alkaline cleaners and soaps, which can damage your clear coat.

Car detailing is an investment in the longevity and appearance of your vehicle. The cost varies based on factors like size, level of detailing, and additional services. While DIY options exist, professional detailing offers unmatched expertise and results. So, the next time you're wondering about the cost of getting your car detailed, remember that the benefits extend far beyond the price tag.
